Leasing Consultant
reports directly to the Community Manager and is responsible for providing leasing support at multiple properties as assigned. The Leasing Agent’s focus is to answer all rental inquiries, schedule appointments, qualify residents and show available apartments and, above all, to lease apartments. Responsibilities Informing the Community Manager of Rental Application outcomes from the resident screening company and communicating these results to applicants per the Community Manager's instructions. Establishing new resident files, drafting Rental Agreements, and completing all relevant paperwork related to new residents. Conducting move-in inspections. Accurately collecting work orders when required. Providing assistance with paperwork and special projects. Ensuring compliance with Fair Housing, Equal Opportunity Employment, and Washington Landlord Tenant laws. Possessing comprehensive knowledge of property marketing strategies, including familiarity with available units, their conditions, rental rates, and move-in dates. Compiling a comprehensive list of community, property, and unit benefits for marketing purposes. Understanding property policies concerning deposit amounts, rental agreements, and restrictions. Conducting weekly/monthly rental market comparisons with competitors to inform marketing strategies. Maintaining a daily Traffic Log. Daily inspection of Model/Vacant units to ensure they are in optimal condition. Walking tour path daily to ensure grounds and facilities are tidy and present well. Ensuring all rental applications are completed, signed, and processed promptly and correctly. Follow-up with prospects to secure applications. Marketing the community and available units on various platforms and performing local outreach as needed. Support the needs of up to three communities in the Tacoma/Lakewood/Edgewood area. Qualifications and Experience AppFolio: 1 year (Preferred) Property leasing: 1 - 2 years (Required) Fair Housing regulations: 1 year (Required) Customer Service: 2+ years (Required) Ability to commute/relocate Seattle (98106). Reliably commute to work and float between properties as needed (Required). What BODE Offers Benefits and Compensation Comprehensive medical 100% paid by Employer after 90 days.
