
Army Human Resource Specialist (MOS 42A) – U.S. Army

Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien.
In good physical condition.
In good moral standing.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Overview Army Human Resource Specialists perform personnel and administrative functions supporting all military members regardless of rank or classification. They ensure the readiness, health, and welfare of all soldiers.
Qualifications and Training
Minimum ASVAB scores: 100 General Technical (GT), 90 Clerical (CL).
Must qualify for Secret security clearance due to sensitive information.
10 weeks Basic Combat Training (BCT).
9 weeks Advanced Individual Training combining hands-on and classroom instruction.
Opportunities for advanced training based on unit assignment.
Helpful Skills
Strong communication and people skills.
Ability to follow detailed orders and instructions.
Aptitude for English and Business Administration.
Requirements
U.S. citizen or I-551 cardholder.
Age 17-34.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must pass criminal background check with no open law violations.
Must pass drug screening.
No felony convictions.
Must be in good health with no physical limitations.
Compensation
$40,000 to $80,000 per year.
Total compensation includes housing, medical, food, special pay, and vacation time.
