Overview
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Office Manager, this position performs entry-level to routine customer service work including assisting with the daily office operations and clerical duties for Caddo Lake State Park. Responsible for processing correspondence, report preparation and answering telephones. Performs revenue collection, license and permit sales, automated visitor registration and reservations. Provides information to park visitors and general public. Responsible for the general routine cleaning of park headquarters. Works under close to moderated supervision, with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.

Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduation from High School or GED.
Experience: No experience required.
Licensure: Must possess or be able to obtain, within 30 days of employment, a valid State driver’s license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: One year of clerical experience such as accounting, typing, filing, record keeping and data entry.
One year of experience using automation equipment or word processing and spreadsheet software.
One year of experience in customer service.
One year of experience working with the public.
One year of experience handling cash.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of general office procedures; administrative and clerical procedures; basic mathematics.
MS Word, Excel and Outlook; effective verbal and written communication.
Providing quality customer service in a courteous and professional manner.
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously; handle complaints, emergencies, stressful environments and high volumes of people courteously and effectively.
Accurate cash handling and revenue accounting; ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to learn an on-line registration system; adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
Commitment to TPWD safety program; willingness to travel up to 5% with possible overnight stays.
Non-smoking work environment in State buildings and vehicles.
Working Conditions Required to work in a public park with overnight camping and day use. Requires 40 hours per week with flexible schedules including hours outside 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and days off other than Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Must be able to adjust to changing schedules. May perform manual labor (lifting up to 40 lbs). May operate a State vehicle. May work outdoors, occasionally in adverse weather conditions. Must conform to TPWD dress and grooming standards, work rules, and safety procedures. Travel up to 5% with possible overnight stays. Non-smoking environment in State buildings and vehicles.
