Position Overview We are seeking an experienced packaging professional who wishes to leverage their proven dangerous goods packaging engineering experience to join our expanding sales team. The role of National Business Development Manager is responsible for understanding our existing customers’ business needs and solving them with our world-class DG packaging solutions. This position requires extensive travel and is ideal for a self-driven Packaging Professional who has a desire to move into a customer-facing sales position; one who has the passion and personality to work face-to-face with our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Leveraging your DG Packaging expertise, work directly with our customers’ packaging decision makers to sell our DG Packaging solutions in target verticals such as chemicals, pharma, Lifesciences, manufacturing, oil/gas, retail, eCommerce, technology, retail, wholesale and more.

Solid understanding of DG regulations to know which product needs to be offered and to properly assist the needs of our customers.

Effectively communicate product attributes/features to solve & deliver upon customer needs.

Expand existing customer base and drive new customer acquisition.

Collaborate with our Packaging Product Management Team, align on packaging solutions with direct focus for customer growth.

Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities nationwide.

Conduct onsite sales calls, presentations, and product demonstrations.

Build relationships with packaging decision makers (engineers, managers, directors), procurement, operations, plant leadership, EHS, and executive decision-makers.

Maintain and grow a strong sales pipeline using CRM tools.

Meet or exceed revenue, margin, and growth targets.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.

Represent the company at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events.

Provide ongoing market, customer, and competitive intelligence.

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated success in building DG Packaging programs within chemical, pharma, industrial and other commercial companies.

Willingness and ability to travel approximately 80% nationwide.

Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.

Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational abilities.

Preferred Experience

Experience selling into multi-location or national accounts.

Familiarity with compliance-driven packaging requirements.

Demonstrated success with managing multiple technical programs, influencing decision makers and keen ability to talk from shopfloor to C‑Suite employees.

Education

Preferred – Packaging engineering, Chemical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or accredited background within the Packaging space.

Alternative – Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience in related fields with demonstrated success.
