Key Responsibilities
Design and layout automatic fire sprinkler systems using CAD or design software (e.g., AutoSPRINK, SprinkCAD, HydraCAD).
Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure system performance and code compliance.
Prepare submittal drawings, material lists, and fabrication sheets.
Coordinate design work with architects, general contractors, and other trades.
Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes.
Conduct field surveys to verify site conditions and measurements.
Assist in project planning, estimating, and scheduling as needed.
Ensure all designs comply with NFPA standards, local authority requirements, and company policies.
Provide technical support to installation teams during construction.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in fire sprinkler design (commercial, industrial, or residential).
Proficiency with design software such as AutoSPRINK, SprinkCAD, HydraCAD, or similar.
Strong understanding of NFPA 13, 14, 20, and local building/fire codes.
NICET Level II or higher in Fire Protection Engineering Technology (preferred).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and specifications.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
