Relationship Consultant , you will be the primary face of Nationwide for external relationships and lead generation. Your mission is to develop and implement strategies that increase lead volume, optimize marketing investments, and strengthen Nationwide’s presence in the digital marketplace, driving top‑line growth and profitability.

Key Focus Areas

Prospecting & Lead Generation – Drive internal and external prospecting efforts to identify and cultivate new business opportunities, collaborate with data teams to analyze datasets for targeted lead identification, partner with internal business units to leverage cross‑selling opportunities, and build and maintain relationships with external vendors and strategic partners.

Onboarding New Partners – Lead project management activities, including troubleshooting, change management, and workflow optimization; oversee technology adoption and integration; review and manage contracts to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Monitoring Results & Funnel Optimization – Track and analyze funnel performance from lead generation through quote, bind, and ROI metrics; set measurable goals and create actionable plans to achieve business objectives; collaborate with marketing teams to allocate resources toward initiatives with the highest return on investment.

Job Description Summary This versatile role involves working collaboratively to build strong relationships, identify opportunities, and support business growth in a fast‑paced environment. As a Relationship Consultant, you will work with internal and external clients or business partners to develop new business and strengthen existing relationships, identify priorities, and deliver workflow, service, and business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage relationships with internal/external clients and business partners, identifying business needs, service requirements, and alternative solutions.

Evaluate partner strategies and objectives, recommend services and products, and resolve issues.

Develop and implement strategic plans, coordinate reports, communicate performance results, and establish action plans.

Monitor client satisfaction and progress of ongoing work, projects, and process improvements to enhance service delivery.

Promote and support sales of products through interactive relationships; assist in new product development and market introduction.

Market, promote, and educate customers on products and services; capture information for selling services and deliver presentations to clients.

Own administration and communication of service level agreements or contract commitments with assigned client base.

Develop and implement plans to address business problems related to client operations.

Define communication channels and facilitate integration of services between business units and clients; serve as point of contact as needed.

Conduct training on procedures, processes, and services provided by the business unit.

Initiate and develop internal standards aligned with long‑range departmental objectives and corporate standards.

Lead and participate in special projects and task teams.

Reporting Relationships Reports to Director or Officer.

Typical Skills and Experience

Education:

Undergraduate studies in a related field; certification, licensing, or specialized coursework as required.

Experience:

Five years of related experience, including customer service, relationship management, project management, and relevant line‑management experience in insurance or financial services.

Knowledge, Abilities & Skills:

Marketing techniques, organizational change, facilitation, negotiation, and project management; strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills; proven working knowledge of related products and services; ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships; multitasking and problem‑resolution skills.

Salary Range National range for Relationship Consultant: $87,000.00–$162,000.00. Expected starting salary range: $87,000.00–$131,000.00 (full time; part‑time compensation prorated).
