Our client, a well-established national architecture firm, is seeking a
Senior Job Captain / Junior Project Manager
to join their
Multifamily and Single-Family design team . This role plays a key part in early design phases, supporting projects from
site planning and entitlements through schematic design , with increasing exposure to project management responsibilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Design Job Captain ready to step into a broader leadership role of a Jr. Project Manager
NOTE
Fully Onsite in Central Orange County
Hybrid or Remote work is not available
5+ years of professional experience required — no recent graduates

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Project Managers and design teams with schedules, budgets, and coordination
Translate conceptual designs into schematic and entitlement-level drawing sets
Coordinate consultants and manage entitlement submittals
Research zoning and building codes; prepare development standard matrices
Oversee drafting efforts and ensure document quality and accuracy
Assist with construction administration, including submittals and site meetings
Mentor junior staff and support team development
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience in Multifamily & Single-Family Projects preferred
5+ years of experience as a Job Captain or similar role
Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning, and construction methods
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
Clear communicator with a collaborative mindset
Licensure preferred or actively in progress
