
POSITION SUMMARY
The Account Manager will work closely with the Senior Account Managers and the Client to purchase and coordinate manufacturing of project related POS material. The position will also be responsible for costing and purchasing, using approved Miller Zell practices and standards to ensure cost effective production of items required for each client/project.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Negotiate and obtain quotes from vendors, prepare cost estimates, issue purchase orders
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with print vendors.
Work with graphic designers and vendors to determine the print substrates and production method that is best fit for the design intent and final use for each project.
Seek out new vendors and qualify them for production capabilities, cost effectiveness and quality control.
Attend and/or assist with press checks when needed.
Monitor costs and continually strive for cost reduction and increased profit margins
Prepare and issue purchase orders, bill of materials, work orders and change orders
Ensure consistency and quality control through the print production process and manage projects so-delivered orders are within budget and on time.
Assist in the coordination of logistics issues, packaging, and shipping of products/projects at vendors and MZ warehouses.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
Special Skills/Qualifications :
Minimum 3 to 5 years in purchasing, negotiating and estimating. Prior print industry experience in positions such as purchasing, estimating, and/or customer service is strongly preferred.
Basic inventory control knowledge is preferred, project coordination skills, strong communication skills
Prior experience in retail support activities preferred
Excellent organizational skills
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, good interpersonal skills, collaborative, able to work closely with a team, analytical, reliable, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented.
Experience with SmartSheets is preferred, but not required.
