Base Pay Range : $65,735 - $92,741 The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

Position Summary

The Technical Marketing Specialist will serve as a key connector between engineering knowledge and marketing initiatives. This role focuses on understanding the needs of our Sales team and customers and translating technical information into impactful content and tools. With more than 3,000 global sales team members and distributors relying on Banner’s marketing support, the Specialist will help ensure product launches, campaigns, and resources are technically accurate and highly effective. This position provides the opportunity to collaborate closely with customers, contribute to creative projects, and play an important role in bringing Banner’s innovations to market.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working individually and collaboratively, staying on top of tasks, and making a meaningful impact across teams and projects. Below are some key responsibilities for the role.

Partner with Product Management and Engineering to understand product capabilities, applications, and differentiators.

Represent Banner at trade shows by staffing the booth and engaging with attendees. Support field activities, including driving and demonstrating the Banner demo van during customer visits.

Assist in the development of marketing programs and related content for new product introductions and various campaigns.

Contribute to planning, coordination, and execution of launch activities.

Create technical training materials and product demonstrations for internal teams and customers.

Appear in and contribute to managing marketing automation campaigns, email content, and digital marketing initiatives.

Use AI tools to generate rough drafts for written content such as blogs, video scripts, and product-related materials.

Provide technical expertise during trade shows, product webinars, and customer meetings.

Collaborate with Sales to develop tools that support lead generation and product education.

Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics to optimize campaigns and content effectiveness.

What You Bring To The Table

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent relevant work experience in lieu of degree

2-5 years’ experience in Sales, Applications, or Product Marketing/Management (a combination preferred)

Strong understanding of complex products, technical concepts, and industry terminology

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, engaging video demonstrations and promotional content

Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail

Comfortable working cross-functionally and presenting to internal or external audiences

Preferred

2–5+ years’ experience in technical or product marketing

Technical and content writing

Industrial automation technology, including PLCs, HMIs, and Robots, along with the familiarity of common equipment and systems found in the industry

Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Canva

Experience working in a team, fast-paced environment

Corporate office environment – indoor and climate-controlled

Frequent interaction with colleagues across Creative, Website, Promotional, and Channel Marketing teams, as well as employees across all levels of the organization

Exposure to moderate noise, moving mechanical parts, and temperature changes in production areas

PPE may be required in specific areas (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, seatbelt)

Standard hours Monday through Friday

Exposure to various manufacturing, warehousing, or related industrial locations

Travel as needed (up to 25%) for trade shows, customer events, and field promotion activities. This would include traveling with Banner’s RV and Van including both domestic and potential international travel.
