We work together to enhance peoples lives through our products and presence in the communities in which we operate./ph3Summary/h3pDevelops and maintains domestic Polyethylene accounts for sale of Westlake Corporation resins./ph3Duties And Responsibilities/h3pMay include, but are not limited to, the following:/pulliWorks under the direction of the Sr. Manager-Field Sales but operates independently on a day-to-day basis./liliResponsible for regional and some National accounts (i.e. plants, technical, corporate, etc.) with product line responsibilities to stabilize and/or grow value at key accounts./liliDevelops and maintains relationships with top executives at corporate level down to production personnel at factory level to establish Westlake value at all levels (multi-level selling)./liliManages accounts with increased complexity either in Market Segmentation or Product Mix./liliNegotiates prices and sales volumes for all products./liliResponsible for setting the account strategy for all accounts. This is to include: product mix, margin upgrade, optimal ship to locations, sales call frequency, management visit frequency, technical service visit frequency and agenda./liliLeads problem solving analysis in assigned areas and often participates in problem solving in additional non-assigned areas. Seen as a key resource internally within department./liliResponsible for New Account development in assigned market segment, product line, or geography based upon Sr. Manager-Field Sales direction./liliForesight to project market, sales trends, and forecasts./liliAbility to act as team lead and make decisions on critical sales initiatives./liliDevelops detailed annual sales plan and facilitates / coordinates all functional resources to deliver on plan and new developments./liliContributes to process improvements and efficiency in department./liliForecast customer sales volumes annually and on a rolling 90 day basis./liliParticipate, when appropriate, in interdepartmental meetings to address account needs or issues and contributes to process improvements and efficiencies within department./liliComply with all Company policies and procedures./liliFully supports Company goals of continuous improvement and operational excellence at strategic and tactical levels including reviewing area of responsibility for improvement opportunities to initiate projects or communicate ideas to management as well as active participation on project teams./liliAny additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned./li/ulh3Education, Experience And Qualifications/h3pMay include, but are not limited to, the following:/pulliRequired B.A degree in business or technical discipline, and minimum 10 years of sales experience preferably polyethylene./liliStrong knowledge of the industry. Should be able to understand the factors that influence Polyethylene supply/demand and pricing and compile data independently to begin formulating an analysis of the current market landscape./liliPolymer knowledge and end use process technology key./liliPossesses expertise based on long and proven track record in sales strategies, face-to-face selling skills, and specialized products or markets./liliAbility to effectively and independently communicate orally and in writing to the appropriate audience in a timely manner and to communicate with and make presentations to customers and management./liliCompletes responsibilities and projects assigned by management in a timely manner./liliProficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other software tools./li/ulh3Physical Demands/h3pWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
