Director of Organizational Development and Training
at our
Headquarters
office in downtown Chicago!
SALARY:
The average starting salary for this position will be
$110,000
annually. Pay will be given based on skill and experience level.
Essential Job Functions
Develop and implement comprehensive organizational development strategies that support the company’s growth and strategic initiatives.
Manage a team of training professionals to develop training and manage the learning management system.
Assist the CPCO in developing a robust Internship Program.
Lead the design, delivery of training programs, including leadership development, supervisor training, talent management, performance management, and employee engagement.
Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of training programs through metrics and feedback, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
Ensure a high level of employee satisfaction from the start of employment with a robust, engaging, and value-added new hire experience. Overall responsible for New Hire Orientation (NHO).
Responsible for the development, deployment and continuous improvement of an MFS performance management process that supports organizational and individual high performance and growth.
Coordinate, along with other members of the HR Team, agency-wide events, including, but not limited to, annual employee recognition & awards celebration, annual staff outing (i.e. BBQ/picnic).
Along with the Director of Compensation & Benefit, create and implement wellness initiatives that support employee.
Partner with People & Culture department, center leadership, and other key stakeholders to create career development paths and succession planning strategies.
Oversee the development and maintenance of training materials, including course content, manuals, and e-learning resources.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, promoting the adoption of best practices in organizational development and training.
Ensures training compliance and up to date material in accordance with funder, state, and federal mandates.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive in its training and development offerings.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), teaching and facilitation skills.
Ability to design, develop, implement, and evaluate responsive programs and initiatives including training plans, curricula, and methodology.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of employee levels and roles.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet multiple deadlines simultaneously.
Ability to grasp a large amount of information quickly and transform complex concepts into easily understood training materials to ensure understanding and competency.
Ability to think big picture and apply to develop ideas to align with long term objectives and strategy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Organizational Psychology, Organizational Leadership or related field.
7+ years of HR experience working with Organizational Development, Performance Management and Training, direct or in an HR function.
3+ years of direct leadership experience working with senior leadership teams.
3+ years of management experience.
Working experience with HRIS software and HR data management system, especially a learning management system.
Master’s degree in human resources management, Organizational Psychology, Organizational Leadership or related field is preferred.
Additional Requirements
Satisfactorily pass all relevant screenings and criminal background checks.
Travel/Transportation Requirements
Driving not required. Travel to different sites may be required.
Physical Demands While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
