Overview
The primary role of the Corporate Director of Facilities Management is to oversee and direct the physical plant maintenance and grounds upkeep at iCare's 12 nursing homes in CT, MA and VT. Maintenance includes building improvements, grounds, utilities, and mechanical/electric systems.
Responsibilities
Oversees all open facility physical plant projects.
Manages facility and regional maintenance staff to ensure building, grounds and facilities are maintained at all times.
Vendor management.
Provides oversight of department invoices to ensure accuracy.
Oversees preventive maintenance logs and ensures that preventative maintenance is being done on a regularly scheduled basis.
Responsible for providing training and development to all maintenance staff.
Ensures that all repair work is completed by facility managers.
Works closely with facility Administrators and VP of Operations to manage and operate within the allotted budget, including ordering supplies and equipment and planning for future projects.
Maintains a positive and respectful attitude towards management, residents, employees, and visitors.
Qualifications
A minimum of five years’ experience in maintenance work, required.
Experience in mechanical, electrical, construction, plant maintenance and HVAC, required.
Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility, required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel, required.
Knowledge of state and federal building codes, required.
TELS experience, preferred.
Supervisory experience in the maintenance field, required.
Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing, required.
