Our client is looking for a highly experienced and meticulous IT Asset Management Lead to join their dynamic IT team. This pivotal role supports the Office of the CITO (Chief Information Technology Officer). The ITAM Lead is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of software & hardware assets across the global IT enterprise and management of the SAM SNOW platform. This role will partner closely with IT Managers across the organization to gather, validate, and maintain contractual and licensing information, ensuring accurate population of the ServiceNow SAM module. This position supports organizational goals around cost optimization, compliance, lifecycle governance, and improved software visibility This role ensures compliance with licensing agreements, optimizes software usage, and supports strategic decision-making through data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will collaborate with procurement, finance, and IT operations to maintain governance and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in IT Software, IT Hardware, and IT services. Additionally, this role will play a crucial part in assisting with IT Financial Management for total cost of ownership and user chargebacks. PLEASE NOTE: This is a contract position - estimated 12 months Hybrid:

Develop ITAM strategies, policies and guidelines for all digital technology assets across the organization Implement and follow structured processes for asset control, ensuring compliance with organizational standards. Responsible for updates and management of ITAM tools and systems as needed to support asset management processes. Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets and ensure accurate tracking from acquisition to retirement within the ServiceNow Platform. Work with IT Managers and Procurement to collect and validate all necessary software contracts, entitlements, renewals, and license documentation for population into ServiceNow. Maintain comprehensive records of all software assets, including on-premise, cloud, and SaaS. Support compliance efforts by tracking usage, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring adherence to licensing terms Leverage ServiceNow IT Asset Management modules to automate asset lifecycle processes, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement. Monitor and reconcile asset records in ServiceNow to ensure data accuracy and compliance with company policies. Generate routine and ad-hoc ServiceNow reports to provide actionable insights on asset utilization, compliance status, and cost savings opportunities. Software Asset Management (SAM)- ServiceNow SAM Implementation & Administration Configure, maintain, and optimize the ServiceNow SAM Professional modules for license tracking, compliance, reconciliation, and reporting. (Mirroring responsibilities from SAM Specialist postings.) Support the setup of data models, workflows, dashboards, and automated alerts within ServiceNow to improve SAM maturity. Coordinate data imports, discovery mappings, normalization, and reconciliation activities to ensure accurate entitlement-to-installation alignment Develop and implement software asset management strategies, policies, and guidelines to optimize software usage and compliance across the organization. Maintain an accurate inventory of all software assets, tracking licenses from acquisition through retirement and ensuring data integrity in asset management systems. Coordinate with IT and procurement teams to manage software renewals, upgrades, and contract compliance, preventing service interruptions. Utilize ServiceNow or similar platforms to automate software asset lifecycle processes including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement. Generate routine and ad-hoc reports on software utilization, compliance status, and cost savings opportunities for management review. Ensure software asset management practices align with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. Analyze software usage data to identify cost-saving opportunities Support audits by reconciling software licenses and usage records and addressing discrepancies promptly. Hardware Asset Management (HAM)- Maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware assets, ensuring data integrity and timely updates throughout the asset lifecycle with the client services team. Coordinate with IT and procurement teams to manage hardware acquisitions, renewals, upgrades, and disposals. Monitor asset utilization to identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings. Ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements in hardware asset management practices. Support audits by reconciling asset records and addressing discrepancies promptly. Utilize ServiceNow or similar platforms to automate hardware asset tracking and reporting processes. Wireless asset management, ordering, and cost allocations Work closely with site CS teams to coordinate E-waste and recycling pickups Functions ESSENTIAL Ability to work with others to create new processes and procedures, and the reporting that is required to ensure compliance with the new processes. Ability to partner with business and IT representatives to improve processes and technology to increase the value of IT. Ability to communicate with a wide audience and to persuade/convince others to take action Ability to stay organized and track many and concurrent initiatives. Ability to analyze data and determine where there are opportunities for improvement. Ability to track deadlines and proactively manage milestones. Ability to work with other teams and departments to resolve escalated issues. Supervisory Responsibilities Reporting Relationship This position has no supervisory responsibilities. This role will report directly to the Sr Manager, Office of the CITO Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Asset management preferably using ServiceNow HAM & SAM or one of the other major ITAM platforms. Minimum of 5 years experience with IT end user cost allocations Minimum 5 years of experience with enterprise system integrations (i.e. AP/GL/HR) and process workflows. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze, model, and interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. Solid understanding of software licensing models (Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Adobe, SaaS models, etc. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets and identify anomalies Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a very large IT department Experience managing multiple stakeholders Experience in IT Financial Management allocations for a global organization Experienced in IT purchasing, P2P workflows in an ITSM tool Experience with hardware and software asset management ITIL 4.0 Certifications or coursework ServiceNow certifications (SAM, ITAM, CSA, CIS). Experience with enterprise discovery tools (SCCM, Intune). Background supporting asset management in environments with complex licensing Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
