Position Overview
The Marketing: Experiential Programming, Brand Partnerships & Productions role leads the strategy, planning, and execution of public events, cultural programming, and brand activations at Union Station. This position is ideal for a strategic, hands-on producer with a strong background in live events, partnerships, and large-scale productions who is passionate about brand development and creating meaningful public experiences. Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Brand Alignment
Support marketing and brand partnership strategies to increase awareness, visitation, and engagement. Collaborate with partners across the Metro divisions such as Metro Art, Marketing, Communications, and Customer Experience to align programming with the overall mission and community values. Ensure consistent brand voice, messaging, and standards across all communications, signage, and branded assets. Experiential Programming & Events
Develop and manage an annual calendar of cultural, community, and branded events, including signature, seasonal, and cross-collaborative programs with strategic partners. Lead concept development and execution of live experiences that reflect LA’s diverse culture, including major productions tied to global events (World Cup 2026, NBA All-Star 2026, Super Bowl LXI, LA28 Olympics). Deliver sponsorship activations across experiential programming, digital, signage, and on-site touchpoints. Production & Project Management
Oversee end-to-end event production, including budgeting, vendor management, logistics, and on-site execution. Manage multiple concurrent, high-quality projects with clear timelines, workback schedules, and post-event reporting. Track budgets and invoicing; evaluate program performance, ROI and efficient use of budget. Brand Partnerships
Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships aligned with Union Station’s vision. Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners, cultural institutions, and civic organizations. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of partner activations (marketing, operations, communications). Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and results-driven team culture. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Event Production, Arts Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 8-10+ years of experience in experiential marketing, event production, cultural programming, or brand partnerships. Proven experience leading complex, large-scale live events and public-facing programs. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines, budgets, and stakeholders. Experience developing and managing sponsorships or brand partnerships. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. Preferred Experience
Experience working in cultural institutions, public spaces, transportation hubs, or large civic venues. Background collaborating with public agencies, municipalities, or community-based organizations. Experience supporting or producing major global or marquee events (e.g., sports, cultural festivals, international events). Familiarity with Metro, transit-oriented development, or large public infrastructure organizations. Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and external partners. Knowledge of brand standards, experiential design, and audience engagement strategies. Work Environment & On-Site Expectations
This role is based on-site at Union Station in Los Angeles. Regular on-site presence is required to support planning, coordination, and execution of events and activations. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules. Flexibility in hours may be required to support peak production periods. Compensation
Salary Range (annual): $125,000 – $150,000, commensurate with experience.
