5:00 PM LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a global leader in bulk liquid logistics to hire a Customer Service Representative / Quoting Specialist for their South Houston team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service skills and quoting experience who is ready to grow in the logistics industry. About the Role
You'll play a key role in supporting inside and outside sales teams by preparing accurate and timely quotesprimarily for ISO tank transportation (food-grade and chemical)while delivering an exceptional experience for customers and internal stakeholders. What You'll Be Doing
Prepare and submit a high volume of ISO tank transportation quotes (150200 per month) for food-grade and chemical bulk liquid shipments. Respond to quote requests within 24 hours, factoring in vendor and carrier dependencies. Support the entire inside sales team, collaborating closely with the lead pricing/quoting specialist. Produce commercial proposals and responses to tenders for global shipments of bulk liquid chemicals, foodstuffs, and gases in ISO tanks. Ensure compliance with local, state, and international ISO tank requirements and company procedures. Maintain accurate data in internal systems (Excel, CRM, and other tools) to track quotes, pricing, and customer information. Partner with outside sales representatives to support account plans and business development activities. Assist with commercial presentations and reporting, including basic sales and pricing reports for leadership. Take ownership of customer issues related to pricing/quotes and work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve them promptly. What We're Looking For
Experience & Background
13 years in a similar role (inside sales, sales support, customer service, or pricing/quoting). Logistics or transportation experience strongly preferred; ISO tank or bulk liquid experience is a plus. Prior quoting or pricing experience is essential. Skills & Competencies
Strong customer service orientation and ability to interact with internal teams and external customers. Effective collaboration with outside sales and operations teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and basic Microsoft Office (Excel and Word). Quick learner, adaptable to new systems and processes. Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple quotes and priorities. Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor. High attention to detail and accuracy when working with pricing, contracts, and customer data. Self-starter who works independently while being a strong team player. Education & Nice-to-Haves
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in international transportation or bulk liquid logistics is a plus. Spanish language skills are a plus but not required. Work Environment
This role is 100% onsite at the South Houston location, working closely with inside sales, outside sales, and operations teams.
