Overview Job Number: 26-00129. Find your next opportunity in the Financial Services Industry. ECLARO is looking for a Senior UX / UI Product Designer - Purchase Experience (Sustainability IQ / Conversational AI) for our client in New York, NY. The client is one of the largest mutual life insurance companies and provides long-term care insurance, mutual funds and retirement-plan services across the US.

Location: New York, NY

Responsibilities

Lead UX / UI design for consumer and agent-facing platforms.

Map and design customer flows supporting financial decision-making and conversion.

Lead chatbot UX (patterns, flows, intent mapping, fallback and escalation paths).

Design end-to-end flows for pre-screening (Pre Sales Sandbox).

Translate complex regulatory content into clear, actionable interactions.

Apply and extend Client's design system using component-driven design.

Collaborate with product, engineering, compliance, and SMEs for feasibility and compliance.

Ensure ADA compliance and accessibility alignment.

Test, iterate, and refine based on research and performance data.

Support UAT and produce development-ready specs.

Create presentation materials for leadership showcases.

Project Context and Initiatives

Suitability IQ / Conversational AI Initiatives:

Phase 1 (Now - Q1 2026 | POC / Pilot):

Enhance chatbot UX, content structure, and IA.

Design Suitability Pre Sales Sandbox tool.

Improve admin reporting views and feedback capture mechanisms.

Phase 2 (Early 2026):

Define UX for full-scale version based on pilot learning.

Create flows, specs, and UX documentation for build-out.

Ongoing: Support testing, iteration, and PX roadmap needs.

Field Web / Consumer-Facing Personalized Websites:

Phase 1 (October 2025 - February 2026):

Redesign core page templates using existing component inventory.

Align layouts with brand, ADA, and accessibility standards.

Ensure content scalability and template consistency.

Phase 2 (December 2025 - February 2026):

Build and extend a working Figma component library aligned with Client design system.

Enhance components and refine templates based on research.

Prepare design specs and interaction models for development.

Ongoing: Support .com ecosystem priorities across consumer-facing touchpoints.

Qualifications and Skills

Design Qualifications:

Strong conceptual, interaction, and systems design skills.

Experience with customer journeys, IA models, user flows, wireframes, and conversation maps.

High-fidelity UI skills with strong accessibility communication.

Experience balancing brand, ADA, and platform constraints.

Ability to apply research insights from qualitative & quantitative data.

Technical Expertise:

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.

Experience designing within CMS, low-code, or enterprise system constraints.

Ability to produce detailed design specs and interaction notes.

Basic literacy in HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks.

Familiarity with Agile (Jira) methodologies.

Team & Culture:

Highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

Works closely with design directors, ADA specialists, product / content leads, engineers, compliance / legal partners, and vendors.

Values clarity, accessibility, usability, and systems thinking.

Motivated by improving user trust, adoption, and operational efficiency.

Comfortable working in pilot / test-and-learn environments.
