The Hilton Motif Seattle is looking for its next Senior Sales Manager to join their dynamic team! Located on 5th Avenue in the heart of downtown Seattle, this stylish hotel is nestled between Pike Place Market and Union Street and is surrounded by the city's finest restaurants, shopping, entertainment venues, museums, and attractions. This sleek urban style hotel features amenities including a vibrant award-winning restaurant offering an extensive outdoor patio with sweeping city views, over 28,000 square feet of meeting space, and 319 newly redesigned rooms.
The annual salary range for this position is $87,000–$93,000 + bonus incentives and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

Other Compensation Hilton offers a best‑in‑market Short‑Term Incentive Plan (SIP) to our Sales, Catering & Events teams to reward employees for their contributions to our company’s financial success. The Plan includes a quarterly component worth 20% of bonus‑eligible earnings. The quarterly incentive may have multiple individually weighted objectives, meaning multiple opportunities to earn a payout. A revenue goal of $200k USD or greater is required for the payout potential for that objective to be uncapped. The payout as a percentage of BEE is capped at 60% at 250% achievement if the revenue goal for that objective is below $200k USD for the quarter.
What will I be doing? Represent the hotel in the development of market segments and new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships with assigned accounts, consistently striving to maximize revenue in rooms, public space, food & beverage, and ancillary products and services.
Key Responsibilities
Solicit, respond to, and negotiate with persons requiring large and complex group accommodations (generally over 50 guest rooms) with or without meeting space and/or on‑site catering, based on market segment and account files assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
Represent the hotel in significant interactions dealing with customers relative to sales and operational questions, concerns, and issues. Negotiate contracts with customers and commission agreements with third‑party agencies.
Prepare proposals and/or contracts to advise prospective customers primarily of the hotel guest rooms, but also meeting space and/or banquet date, space and rate availability; develop and quote prices for the same.
Engage in outside sales activities to discuss business opportunities and entertain customers in local and assigned markets. Direct site visits and H.O.S.T. programs for respective accounts and participate in tradeshows, industry and customer events.
Attend sales departmental meetings and other scheduled meetings to support business operations (e.g., tentative review, lost business review, group pick‑up, etc.).
Conduct site inspections with potential customers, visiting guest rooms, meeting space, banquet facilities, and other hotel facilities.
Provide guidance to sales managers and administrative support as needed by Director of Sales and Marketing.
Demonstrate strong sales, communication, and networking skills; show a deep understanding of customer needs and apply a disciplined approach to qualify, negotiate, and secure new revenue for the hotel.
Apply strong sales skills to create customer value, differentiate Hilton from the competition, and bring clear value to customers and the organizations they represent.
Demonstrate mastery of the prospecting process: identify potential customers and prepare an effective call strategy.
Understand customer and business leaders’ expectations; adapt to a changing market.
Actively engage with Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention Bureau, and Intermediaries to retain existing customers and secure new business for the hotel.
Develop and execute plans to engage in outside sales calls, industry tradeshows, and customer events.
Develop, execute, and communicate a monthly, quarterly, and annual business plan for a designated market.
Maintain an up‑to‑date pipeline of business opportunities that meet short and long‑term business objectives for the designated market.
Coordinate customer specifications (room, food & beverage, and meeting space requirements) via a lead management system; enter and maintain pertinent account and booking information in Delphi FDC according to defined standards.
Prospecting
Research, solicit, and generate new leads for business opportunities through database research and proactive sales efforts, maximizing new room revenue and exceeding lead generation goals.
Create and execute a plan to shift share from competitors.
Engage in outside sales activities to uncover needs, build relationships, and win new business.
Negotiations
Negotiate contracts and commission agreements with end‑user customers and intermediaries.
Provide solutions that achieve and protect the financial goals of the hotel while strengthening relationships with customers.
