Legal Assistant / Paralegal (Employment-Based Immigration, 1–5 yrs)

About the role We’re a boutique firm dedicated exclusively to U.S. immigration. As a Legal Assistant/Paralegal on our employment-based team, you’ll help clients secure roles in the U.S. and reunite families—while learning fast and growing your impact.

What you’ll do

Prepare, QC, and file employment-based matters: H-1B, L-1A/L-1B (incl. blanket), TN, O-1, PERM, I-140, I-485

Draft support letters, exhibit lists, client checklists, and RFE responses

Collect and review evidence; maintain organized, audit-ready e-files

Own deadlines: track milestones and keep cases moving with zero-defect submissions

Communicate clearly with clients, HR, and beneficiaries; reduce stress with proactive updates

Manage intake and matter statuses

Assist attorneys on strategy, case prep, and final assembly for USCIS submissions

What you bring (must-haves)

1–5 years of hands-on experience in employment-based immigration

Recent experience with: L-1 and Blanket L-1’s, H-1B, O-1, TN, PERM, I-140, I-485

Strong legal writing, organization, and attention to detail

Comfort with case-management tools (Tracker preferred), PDFs, and Excel/Sheets

Client-first mindset and reliable follow-through

Nice to have

L-1 blanket experience; consular processing exposure

Paralegal certificate or relevant JD coursework (preferred, not required)

Any foreign language skills

A positive, solutions-oriented attitude (a sense of humor helps!)

Work setting Primarily in-office with the option to work from home 1 day/week.

Compensation & benefits

Competitive salary $35 to $50 an hour based on experience
