Activity Director
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Activity Director to join our team at Silvis Center Rehab and Care in Silvis, Illinois. As an Activity Director, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a diverse range of recreational activities and programs that cater to the unique needs and preferences of our residents. Your goal will be to promote socialization, physical well-being, and mental stimulation, while also enhancing the overall resident experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program that promotes resident engagement, socialization, and overall well-being
Conduct needs assessments to identify resident interests and preferences, and create programs that cater to these needs
Recruit and supervise activity staff, volunteers, and interns to assist with program implementation
Collaborate with other department heads to ensure seamless integration of activities with other aspects of resident care
Conduct regular evaluations of activity programs to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments
Prepare and submit reports on activity program outcomes and resident feedback
Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity schedules
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and other projects as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Recreation Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or related field preferred
