Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tax Preparer located in Lawrenceville, GA. The Tax Preparer will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses, reviewing financial documents and records to ensure compliance with tax regulations, and providing guidance on tax laws and planning strategies. Additional responsibilities include analyzing financial statements, identifying potential deductions, and addressing client inquiries related to tax preparation and filing. Responsibilities
Prepare individual tax returns (Form 1040, Schedule C) Prepare small business tax returns (1120-S, 1065) Handle tax extensions and amendments Manage IRS correspondence and compliance follow-ups Process Secretary of State filings, including annual renewals and entity updates Review bookkeeping records and coordinate with accounting teams Communicate with clients regarding tax and compliance matters Qualifications
Experience preparing personal and small business tax returns Working knowledge of IRS processes and correspondence Basic accounting knowledge and ability to review bookkeeping Strong organizational and communication skills Fluent in English and Spanish (required) Knowledge of Drake Tax Software or familiarity with similar tax software Preferred
Accounting firm or tax office experience Familiarity with QuickBooks Experience with small businesses and self-employed clients
