The Role
This is a hands-on, creative, and very online role. The Marketing Manager will focus on promoting our Duluth taproom and Wild State brands , with an emphasis on social media, email, events, and whatever else helps people connect with us. You’ll be responsible for executing our voice and tone in a way that feels effortless — natural, consistent, and never overthought. You should be comfortable making content in real time : pulling out your phone, filming what’s happening, hopping on camera when it makes sense, and turning that into engaging vertical video. Polished is fine, but authentic matters more. This role is based in Duluth and works closely with the taproom and broader team. What You’ll Do
Create, post, and manage social media content across platforms Film, edit, and publish video for social (mostly shot on your phone) Be comfortable appearing on camera and directing others when needed Understand and execute Wild State’s voice and tone naturally Stay on top of trends, formats, and cultural moments — without chasing everything Write and send email marketing that people actually want to read Promote taproom events, releases, specials, and collaborations Help plan and execute events and community activations Keep messaging relaxed, human, and on-brand Track performance and use basic data to improve what’s working Pitch ideas, try things, learn quickly, repeat Jump in on other marketing projects and duties as needed What We’re Looking For
1–2+ years of marketing experience
(internships, freelance, or legit side projects count) Strong understanding of social media and how people engage with content Comfortable filming on a phone, being on camera, and editing short-form video Familiar with vertical video tools Excellent feel for tone — you know how to sound like us, not like a company Comfortable creating content quickly without overthinking it Trend-aware, curious, and culturally plugged in Organized and able to juggle multiple projects Willing to learn new tools, platforms, and parts of the business Clear communicator and collaborative teammate Kind, easy-going, and reliable Doesn’t take themselves too seriously, but takes the work seriously Based in (or moving to) Duluth No jerks How to Apply
