What we are looking for
The Commercial Specialist, Strategic Accounts is a key role in supporting our strategic accounts. This role is critical in our efforts to maintain our market share. This position is responsible for customer interface and management, supporting the SAM in all areas. It will include assisting in design and application of highly customizable products to meet the customer's refrigeration display equipment requirements. This will relate particularly to the CO2 multiple product lines Hill-Phoenix offers. The role additionally acts as a senior project manager, managing a team of product managers. This will involve a variety of functions involving close customer contact for equipment, engineering design, pricing, delivery, and installation, working in concert with contractors, operations, purchasing, engineers, other internal sales personnel, and customer stakeholders.
What you will be responsible for in this role Deliver consultative selling and drive customer demand shaping
Interact with the customer\'s procurement team and engineering team to determine requirements and specifications for jobs to be designed
Review customer fixture plans and build future order requirements for equipment
Manage Salesforce forecast data and daily handling of administrative duties
Determine proper system/equipment type to meet customer needs
Partner with Field Support Team on resolving warranty and operational issues and coordinate startup support
Lead and collaborate with other departments to ensure projects progress from quote to installation
Influence remodel requirements and suggest new equipment or field modifications
Liaise between vendors, engineering contractors, customers, and internal parties to deliver best value
Identify opportunities for product rationalization and cost reduction
Other duties as assigned
Basic qualifications Bachelor\'s Degree with 10 to 15 years\' experience in refrigeration equipment industry
Technical Degree or equivalent apprenticeship in HVAC/R with 8+ years\' experience
2+ years of application engineering experience
Preferred qualifications Familiarity with AutoCAD drawings is preferred
To be a great fit for the role Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) at least at an advanced beginner to intermediate level
Strong experience with customer-facing communications related to industrial refrigeration systems and display fixtures
Ability to interpret store layout and fixture plans
Strong problem-solving ability
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
History of continuous improvement and change management
Strong mechanical ability and intellectual curiosity
Willingness to travel up to 15%
