Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Reports to:

Role Overview The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) at Virginia Transformer Corp is responsible for translating the company’s aggressive growth strategy into disciplined, scalable enterprise operations across a complex, multi-plant manufacturing environment.

As a privately held, rapidly growing industrial manufacturer with 5,500+ employees across the U.S., Mexico, and India, the CAO ensures that people operations, corporate infrastructure, compliance, systems, and shared services scale in lockstep with production, engineering, and commercial growth.

This role serves as the operational backbone of the enterprise, providing consistent administrative oversight and risk management, and partnering closely with the CEO, CFO, COO, and CHRO to bring structure, consistency, and execution rigor to a fast-moving organization.

Key Responsibilities (VTC‑Tuned) 1. Enterprise Administration & Operations

Lead corporate administrative operations supporting multiple manufacturing plants and global offices

Oversee facilities, real estate, leases, and site services across North America and international locations

Standardize internal processes, governance, and operating rhythms across plants and corporate functions

Drive operational discipline without slowing entrepreneurial execution

2. Legal, Risk & Compliance (Manufacturing‑Focused)

Serve as executive liaison with internal and external legal counsel

Ensure compliance across labor, immigration, safety, environmental, and regulatory frameworks

Oversee enterprise risk management, audits, and internal controls

Support contract governance with customers, suppliers, utilities, government entities and vendor services that bind the company

Own administrative and shared‑service budgets (facilities, vendors, professional services)

Oversee vendor strategy, contract negotiations, and performance management

Partner with the CFO on cost control, efficiency, and enterprise scalability

Drive ROI‑focused decision‑making across support functions. Must have strong financial background and P&L understanding

4. Technology, Systems & Infrastructure

Provide executive oversight of internal IT, enterprise systems, and business tools

Ensure systems support manufacturing operations, engineering workflows, HR, and finance

Drive standardization across ERP, HRIS, ATS, and operational platforms

Partner on cybersecurity, data integrity, and infrastructure resilience

Act as a trusted integrator between the CEO and executive leadership team

Drive cross‑functional alignment across manufacturing, engineering, HR, finance, and commercial teams

Lead enterprise‑wide operational improvement initiatives

Support CEO‑level execution, cadence, and organizational effectiveness

Qualifications & Experience Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Human Resources, Engineering, or a related discipline required

Advanced degree preferred (MBA or equivalent executive education)

Professional Experience

20+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise operations, administration, or shared services within industrial or manufacturing environments

10+ years in senior leadership roles (CAO, COO, SVP Operations, or equivalent) with responsibility for multi‑site or global organizations

Proven success translating growth strategy into scalable operating models, governance, and execution discipline

Demonstrated experience overseeing administrative functions, compliance, shared services, and enterprise systems at scale

Experience operating in privately held, high‑growth, or complex global manufacturing organizations preferred
