The Director of Information Technology is responsible for setting and executing the organization’s IT strategy, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable technology operations that support business growth and operational excellence. This role serves as a strategic partner to senior leadership while also providing hands‑on oversight of applications, infrastructure, security, vendors, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute an enterprise IT strategy and multi‑year technology roadmap aligned with both near‑term priorities and long‑term business objectives
Act as a trusted technology advisor to senior leadership, translating technical concepts into practical, business‑focused recommendations
Build, develop, and lead a high‑performing IT team with a strong emphasis on accountability, collaboration, and customer service
Application & Systems Management
Own the overall performance, integration, and optimization of core business applications across the organization
Serve as the internal subject matter expert and system owner for the ERP platform (Odoo) and contact center platform (Five9)
Manage the full application lifecycle, including evaluation, selection, implementation, user training, ongoing support, and system retirement
IT Operations & Infrastructure
Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of all technology environments, including networks, servers, cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), and end‑user systems
Oversee managed service providers and help desk operations to deliver timely, high‑quality technical support to employees
Design, implement, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to support uninterrupted operations
Security, Governance & Compliance
Establish and enforce IT policies, standards, and best practices across the organization
Lead information security and risk management initiatives to protect sensitive company and customer data
Ensure technology operations comply with applicable regulatory and privacy requirements, with particular emphasis on HIPAA and CCPA
Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and service optimization
Develop and oversee the IT operating budget, balancing cost efficiency with strategic technology investment
Qualifications & Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent professional experience
7+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role
Direct, hands‑on experience administering and owning Odoo (ERP) and Five9 (contact center) platforms
Proven ability to lead and support IT teams spanning help desk, systems, and infrastructure functions
Strong technical background in infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and enterprise security
Experience implementing IT security controls, access management, and disaster recovery/business continuity programs
Working knowledge of regulated environments and compliance standards such as HIPAA and CCPA
Demonstrated vendor management and budgeting experience, including contract evaluation and service oversight
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical topics into clear business language
Preferred
Experience supporting 24/7 or high‑availability operational environments
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, PMP, ITIL, or Odoo Administrator
Background in healthcare technology, medical devices, or life‑safety/emergency service organizations
