The IT Director provides leadership for the company's technology strategy, operations, and infrastructure, ensuring systems support of business growth, security, and efficiency. This role balances high‑level strategic planning with hands‑on management of teams, vendors, projects, and daily IT services functions. This is an in‑office (Southbury, CT). Some flexibility for hybrid may be possible in the future. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute IT strategy aligned with company‑wide objectives. Create a 3-5 year IT roadmap for infrastructure, systems, data and security. Identify new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and competitive advantage. Work with senior leadership to align the roadmap and priorities to annual budgets. Monitor budgeted and actual costs. Work with Finance leaders on managing TES’ Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Operations & Infrastructure
Oversee daily IT operations, including network, systems, hardware, and software. Manage IT budgets, forecasts, vendor contracts, and cost optimization. Ensure system performance, reliability, and scalability for a growing organization. Security & Compliance
Protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Stay current on security risks, implement robust cybersecurity measures, develop data protection protocols, and ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations. Implement robust and actionable incident response plans. Disaster Recover / Business Continuity
Develop, maintain, and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard critical data and systems and minimize downtime. Lead, mentor, and evaluate IT staff (e.g., help desk, systems, data, networking). Foster a culture of service, innovation, and collaboration. Manage hiring and performance for a growing IT team aligned to the strategic goals and priorities of the company. Business Alignment & Support
Liaise with other department heads and stakeholders to identify and understand the technology needs, support cross‑functional projects, and increase user satisfaction levels. Manage the help desk (outsourced and/or internal), ensuring efficient resolution of technical issues and SLA compliance. Oversee implementation of new software, hardware, and system upgrades, including an updated CRM platform Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; MBA a plus. Proven experience in an IT management or similar leadership role, typically 5-10 years of overall IT experience with several in a supervisory capacity. Deep knowledge of infrastructure, cloud, security, project management. Strong financial acumen for budgeting and vendor management. Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills. Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms, and data security. Skills:
