What You’ll Do
The Science, Research, Technology and Engineering (SRT&E) scope in the Program Integration Division represents program and project authority and accountability within Pantex and is the key interface among internal and external stakeholders.
Director’s primary duty is the scope, schedule and cost performance, and risk management for the NA-11 portfolio, and requires discretion and independent judgment to formulate, affect, interpret, or implement management policies or operating practices; carry out major assignments related to the operation of the Company’s business; work that affects business operations of the Company to a major degree; and the authority to commit the Company in matters with significant financial impact.
Independent judgment and discretion involve evaluating possible courses of action and making independent choices on matters of significance.
Direct the SRT&E scope at the site to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders and oversee staffing, coordinating, facilitating, and reporting on Program personnel, interfacing with customers, and representing Pantex in meetings and negotiations.
Director for SRT&E provides program leadership and coordination to sustain and advance tools, technologies, and skills needed to assess the state of the stockpile and ensure Pantex can support future production mission needs.
Ensure strategies, policies, and plans are developed, integrated, budgeted, and executed to accomplish the NA-11 related work portfolio to enable efficient stockpile support, design studies and development programs, rapid capabilities, and testing activities.
Anticipate future needs through collaboration with the Design Agencies, the NSE/NNSA and DoD customers.
Collaborate with Design Agencies, Other Production Agencies, the Pantex University Partnership Program Manager, and NA-19 Program Managers to mature and qualify technologies relevant to emerging needs and support hand-off to receiving programs for scale-up, qualification, and production.
Deliver science, technology, and workforce capabilities to support design and production agility, robustness, and resilience by integrating internal efforts and partnering with Design Agencies and university partners.
Staff, coordinate, facilitate, oversee, and report on the activities of SRT&E program personnel, interface with internal and external customers, represent Pantex in meetings and negotiations, and work with NA-11, NA-12, and NA-19 to ensure effective technology transitions to receiving programs and facilities.

Minimum Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree: Minimum 12 years of relevant experience. Minimum 3 years of supervisory/management experience.
OR applicants without a bachelor’s degree may be considered based on a combination of at least 20 years of completed education and/or relevant experience.
