Overview
Position Summary: What you0ll do and how you will contribute includes detecting, deterring, investigating, and resolving violations of company policies and criminal activities by investigating alleged fraud and other alleged illegal activities; conducting investigations relating to the operations and policies of the company; obtaining evidence; taking statements; writing case reports; and providing courtroom testimony as needed. You will participate in collaborative efforts with other investigative entities. You will monitor safety and risk controls within a facility by ensuring an effective safety program, supervising the safety team, identifying accident trends to develop and implement solutions to prevent accidents, observing work practices, and providing training to associates on accident prevention techniques; communicating plans to minimize accidents; overseeing safety reviews and implementing plans to improve safety. You will manage facility-level training and execution of asset protection, safety functions, and receiving procedures by reviewing policy applications, identifying gaps, determining training needs, and developing and delivering training where needed. You will manage claims and receiving operations by ensuring proper policies and procedures are followed, ensuring timely processing of claims (e.g., damaged, defective, returned, liquidated items, and merchandise deliveries from suppliers or third parties), providing direction for claims or receiving issues, and maintaining necessary documentation and reporting. You will model exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following the One Best Way service model, managing and supporting customer service initiatives, resolving customer needs and complaints, and providing process-improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience. You will drive financial performance and sales by reviewing P&L statements, assisting in budgeting and forecasting, controlling expenses, monitoring merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes, and developing action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals for the business area. You will provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing associates, and ensuring staffing needs are met to support company growth. You will lead and develop teams through training, feedback, and collaboration with all levels of associates, utilizing technology and company initiatives, introducing change, and communicating business objectives effectively. You will control unexplained loss of merchandise, build accountability for policies and procedures, measure adherence to loss-prevention standards, review variances, conduct audits, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrections across multiple stores. You will apply up-to-date expertise to develop and improve action plans, provide guidance to others, align efforts with customer and business needs, and build commitment to new perspectives and rationales. You will support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships with stakeholders, identifying business needs, executing processes and practices, monitoring progress and results, and adapting to changing demands. You will model compliance with company policies and procedures, uphold the company mission, values, and ethics, and promote an Open Door Policy to help others apply these in business practices.
