Ascension Search Partners is engaged by a fast‑growing, upper‑mid‑market private‑equity‑backed distribution company to hire a Director of FP&A to join a high‑performing finance team during a period of strategic transformation. Location: Dallas, TX | Salary: $170,000–$190,000 Key Responsibilities
Lead financial strategy execution, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, providing variance analysis and commentary. Develop and maintain financial models to forecast performance and inform strategic decisions. Support CFO in the preparation of annual financial plans and reports. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and recommend actions to achieve financial objectives. Partner with cross‑functional teams (sales, operations, HR) to align financial goals with business strategies. Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, tools, and systems. Communicate financial performance transparently to senior management and stakeholders. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. 5+ years of corporate finance leadership experience in multi‑site private‑equity‑backed environments. Strong financial modeling, analytical, and reporting skills. Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and financial software. Experience in mergers & acquisitions and financial restructuring a plus. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. Advanced understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets and cash flow. Expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis. Ability to influence business decisions through data‑driven insights. Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
