Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mortgage Loan Officer based in San Diego, CA. The Mortgage Loan Officer is responsible for guiding clients through the mortgage loan process, evaluating financing options, and assisting with underwriting and documentation. Day-to-day tasks include consulting with borrowers, reviewing financial documents, maintaining strong customer relationships, and adhering to compliance and regulatory standards. The role requires proactive communication and the ability to provide exceptional customer service during the loan lifecycle.

Qualifications

Experience as a Loan Officer with knowledge of loan origination and processing

Familiarity with the mortgage industry, including mortgage lending and refinancing

Understanding of underwriting practices and financial guidelines

A strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills

Proficiency in communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred

Licensure as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) or the ability to acquire licensing

Experience with VA loan programs is highly advantageous
