About Tanagram Tanagram’s mission is to accelerate agentic coding.
We extract engineering learnings buried in real codebases, PRs, code reviews, incident post-mortems, and Slack conversations, turn them into real-time guardrails for coding agents, and enforce them in PRs — helping teams ship faster while avoiding catastrophic mistakes.
We’re building a small, diverse team of meticulous, high-agency people who care deeply about making software development faster, safer, and more reliable — and who can speak credibly to engineers because they’ve been in the work themselves.
About This Role This is a
highly technical GTM role
— not traditional marketing.
It’s a hybrid between:
Technical GTM / Product Marketing (PMM)
Developer-adjacent operator
Early-stage growth strategist
This is not:
A BDR role
A social media role
A pure DevRel role
You will own a meaningful slice of GTM from
0 → 1 , with real product and narrative responsibility.
This role can grow into
Head of GTM
or
Head of Product Marketing .
Location:
San Francisco preferred (remote ok for exceptional candidates)
What You’ll Own Core KPIs
High velocity of GTM experiments
High-quality inbound (quality > quantity)
Credible technical conversations with founders, CTOs, and tech leads
Experiment & Learn (Hands-On)
Fast experiments across Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Reddit, and technical communities
Messaging × persona × channel testing
Landing pages, hooks, loops, and demo flows
Analyze and report learnings quickly
Own Positioning & Messaging (Technical)
Refine ICP (starting with Founding CTOs, Staff+ engineers, and tech leads)
Build messaging frameworks grounded in real engineering pain
Create value props engineers actually believe
Improve demo framing and technical narrative with founders
Build & Demo (Important)
Build or vibe-code your own demos
Modify example repos, workflows, or integrations
Walk engineers through how Tanagram works in practice
Translate real dev workflows into compelling stories
Create Early Inbound Motion
Help engineers care about the product
Founder posts, technical narratives, experiments
Seed early SEO with technically credible content
Build Outbound Motion (Selective & Technical)
Personalized, high-signal outbound
Repeatable tactics that engineers respond to
Spark thoughtful, high-quality conversations
Surface Opportunities
Events, meetups, dinners, conferences
Angel / advisor intros
Launch coordination
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
Consistent experiment → learning loops
ICP hypotheses validated or killed
Meaningful inbound from engineers and technical founders
Sharper, more technical demo narrative
Clear understanding of which GTM motions actually work
You Might Be a Fit If You
Can
build, prototype, or code
demos yourself
Are technically fluent (you don’t need to be a staff engineer, but you can hold your own)
Understand real developer workflows (PRs, CI, incidents, reviews, on-call)
Write clearly and precisely
Have strong messaging taste and technical intuition
Enjoy ambiguity and rapid experimentation
Are very online in developer communities
Are high-agency and collaborative
Can switch between execution and strategic thinking
