Senior Estimator

I’m partnering with a highly respected, award-winning General Contractor with a strong presence across the Mid-Atlantic region, including a steady pipeline of federal and complex commercial work. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Estimator to their preconstruction team in Baltimore, Maryland, offering a hybrid work arrangement. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator who wants to be part of a well-established GC known for winning work the right way — through strong relationships, accurate estimating, and a collaborative preconstruction process. Why This Role Stands Out: Work for a top-tier GC with repeat clients and a strong regional reputation Competitive compensation: $100,000–$145,000 + full benefits Hybrid schedule offering flexibility and work-life balance Exposure to federal and large-scale commercial projects Collaborative preconstruction environment with long-term career growth Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates from schematic design through GMP Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents Solicit, review, and level subcontractor bids Develop budgets, conceptual estimates, and cost models Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and ownership during preconstruction Assist with value engineering, scope clarification, and risk analysis Support proposal development and bid presentations What They’re Looking For: 5+ years of experience working as an Estimator for a General Contractor Experience estimating federal and/or complex commercial projects strongly preferred Strong understanding of construction means and methods Ability to produce accurate estimates under tight deadlines Proficiency with estimating software and Excel Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams Interviews are scheduled to take place next week, so if you’re interested in hearing more about this and other roles, then please get in touch asap to discuss further at 480-818-6995 or send your resume to k.adams@locke-staffing.com.
