The Director of Finance is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing Metafile’s financial operations and serving as a strategic partner to the General Manager and leadership team. This role owns financial reporting, forecasting strategy, and financial governance, while providing forward-looking insight to support business planning and long-term objectives. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Finance leads the monthly and quarterly close, ensures accurate and timely reporting, and maintains financial discipline aligned with Constellation Software standards. The role plays a key part in shaping business goals by developing and managing forecasting models, evaluating performance against plan, and guiding resource allocation decisions. The Director of Finance works closely with leaders across Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Operations to translate financial data into actionable insights, assess organic growth initiatives, and support strategic decision making. This role is also responsible for strengthening financial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks as the company continues to modernize its platform and operating model. In addition, the Director of Finance serves as the primary financial liaison to the parent company, ensuring clear communication, compliance, and visibility into financial performance, risks, and opportunities. Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all financial operations of Metafile, including financial planning, strategy development and implementation, ensuring alignment with the company's long-term goals and objectives. Lead monthly and quarter end close process focusing on deferred revenue, commissions, payroll/benefits, accruals, GL account reconciliations, management results reporting, and variance analysis. Oversee/facilitate daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, invoice, revenue recognition, and expense report processing. Interpret complex financial information and provide strategic insights and recommendations to stakeholders to support decision-making processes. Supervise revenue and expense forecasting by department, conducting financial analysis of organic growth initiatives, potential acquisitions, and initiatives. Provide leadership and ongoing training to the accounting/finance team, ensuring high performance and professional development. Prepare comprehensive reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, both for internal purposes and for submission to the parent company, with a focus on strategic implications and opportunities. Oversee large contracts and ensure proper revenue recognition practices are followed. Update and implement financial policies and procedures in adherence to relevant accounting standards, including IFRS 15 and 16. Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, with a strategic focus on risk management and mitigation. Qualifications

An advanced degree in accounting or finance is preferred, along with relevant professional certifications. 5-10 years of finance and accounting experience in a similar role, preferably within a technology-based SaaS environment In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices. Strong proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams. Proficiency in accounting software (preferably Microsoft Great Plains or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills. Experience in public accounting and mergers and acquisitions is advantageous.
