JOB OVERVIEW
As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time-management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion you may also work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
SALARY AND SCHEDULE DETAILS
Your starting hourly pay rate will be
$20.00 - $22.00
depending on your skills and experience.
Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
Average weekly hours are between
8 and 10
hours per week.
Availability during the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Day-to-day engagement:
Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. You will use technology for daily work and communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is essential.
Holiday support:
Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may be required to work additional days and extended hours, including on the actual holiday and weekends.
Department resets:
You may join a team for installations, relocations of Hallmark fixtures, and card department resets. Assignments are typically notified two weeks in advance and may include evenings or weekends.
Team support:
As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers who often support one another as needed in their territories.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will be working on the selling floor and in back stockrooms. You must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also be required to kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use step ladders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
At least 18 years of age.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents.
Access to Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores on schedule.
