
About the Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented
Tax Analyst
to join our Corporate Tax team. In this role, you’ll help prepare, review, and analyze a variety of federal, state, and local tax filings while ensuring compliance with ever-changing regulations. As part of a collaborative, high-performing team, you’ll play a key role in accurate and timely reporting, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and supporting tax audits and planning initiatives. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review corporate income tax returns at the federal, state/provincial, and local levels (U.S. and Canada)
Contribute to quarterly and annual income tax provisions, including deferred tax calculations and account reconciliations
Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP, Canadian tax requirements, and company reporting standards
Research and interpret federal, state, and Canadian tax legislation and rulings
Track and evaluate new tax laws and regulatory changes that may affect the organization
Support audits conducted by the IRS, CRA, and state/provincial authorities
Develop and maintain detailed workpapers, reconciliations, and audit responses
Assist with indirect tax filings, including sales & use tax, GST/HST, PST/QST, and property tax
Partner with external tax advisors and internal stakeholders as needed
What You’ll Bring
2–3 years of experience in corporate income tax, either in public accounting or a corporate tax department
Strong working knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and Canadian tax codes and compliance processes
Proven experience preparing tax filings, documentation, and reconciliations
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Reliable, proactive team contributor with a sense of ownership over deliverables
Ability to conduct thorough tax research and document conclusions clearly
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines
Commitment to professional growth and keeping current with evolving tax laws
Education & Credentials
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline
CPA designation or a Master’s degree preferred
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered
Work Environment
This is a
hybrid position
based in Nashville, TN. The role includes both remote work and regular in-office collaboration. Candidates must live within commuting distance or be open to relocating to the Nashville area.
