Tax Managing Director - PCS in Greenwich, CT . Essential Functions and Primary Duties
Lead engagement team and directly interact with clients and family office personnel to ensure communication and coordination of timely service Successfully develop, nurture and manage client relationships by consistently providing clients timely and appropriate communication and services in relation to their needs Be viewed as trusted personal and business advisor by clients Direct multiple engagements which include consulting, compliance, and tax planning services Consult with client service team to design, communicate and implement innovative planning ideas for clients Guide and manage IRS and state audits Participate and actively contribute to new business development activities, including prospecting, networking and representing CBIZ at industry and related events Design and deliver technical training on Individual related tax topics Recruit, supervise, train, develop and motivate less experienced team members Promote a team environment; demonstrate support of management decisions and builds a positive culture Contribute to management of internal tax department through committee membership and group leader responsibilities Perform other responsibilities as necessary Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting strongly preferred Comprehensive tax planning and consulting experience and demonstrated expertise in taxation and knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulation Demonstrated success providing consultative service to high-net-worth individuals and families Market leading technical expertise in individual taxation with a strong working knowledge of trust, estate and gift taxation An ability to effectively present information and appropriately respond to questions from clients and team members A track record of successful new business development experience Excellent analytical, supervisory, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills necessary Experience and continued interest in developing and mentoring junior team members Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and Excel Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree 10 years of experience in public accounting or related field 10 years supervisory experience Must have active CPA or equivalent certification Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary Proficient use of applicable technology Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally Proven high level of business integrity, client service and leadership skills Must be able to travel based on client and business needs Compensation range is between $220,000-$500,000 CBIZ Talent Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
