Entry-Level Associate Attorney needed for a busy immigration practice in Addison, Texas.
Responsibilities
Represent clients on a broad range of immigration practice areas including H-1B, L-1, R-1, E-1, E-2, O-1, PERM, EB-1, consular processing, adjustment of status, naturalization, waivers, family petitions, and appeals;
Analyze cases, determine case strategies, provide legal advice, and prepare petitions and applications for submission to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Department of Labor (DOL) and the Department of State (DOS) for nonimmigrant and immigrant status;
Prepare legal briefs and opinions, and file appeals and motions to the USCIS, Administrative Appeals Office (AAO), and Board of Alien Labor Certification Appeals (BALCA);
Correspond with clients in timely manner and maintain regular communication;
Track and maintain highly organized case files; and
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of immigration laws, regulations, and policies.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor degree.
Current bar membership in good standing for any state in the United States or the District of Columbia.
Ability to speak and write clearly in Korean.
Strong project management skills, attention to detail and adherence to strict deadlines.
Technically proficient in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
Ability to work in an organized, disciplined manner.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Presents information and ideas in a thoughtful and compelling manner; is clear and concise in verbal and written communications. Shares information freely and speaks openly and honestly. Seeks to understand the perspectives of others.
Employment-based immigration law experience preferred, but not required.
