About the Role
The GIK Specialist supports Rise Against Hunger’s Gift‑in‑Kind (GIK) program through accurate logistics coordination, data entry, and partner communication. Reporting to the Senior GIK Manager, this role assists in documenting, tracking, and preparing shipments, managing Salesforce records, inventory, and ensuring compliance and timeliness for all deliveries. The position is based in Orlando, FL, and requires flexibility, as some tasks and deliveries occur outside regular business hours.
Start Pay: ~ $50,000 annually
Who Are You
2–4 years of logistics, administrative, or warehouse coordination experience; ideally in a nonprofit or humanitarian setting.
Proficiency in Salesforce.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
Ability to work flexible hours for time‑sensitive shipments.
Ability to lift 25–50 lbs during warehouse tasks.
Experience using specialized equipment such as box trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks.

What You Will Own and Improve 50% Administrative Tracking, Reporting and Partner Support
Coordinate domestic and international GIK shipments, including documentation, scheduling, and partner follow‑up.
Prepare, update and maintain all shipping documents (packing lists, commercial invoices, donation letters, and customs forms).
Revise and update shipment documentation as changes occur.
Track and confirm partner receipt of GIK shipments.
Collect confirmation details and reporting, including photos, quantitative data, and impact stories.
Support partners in completing post‑shipment feedback, impact reports, and media documentation.
Enter shipment records, partner communications, and updates in Salesforce.
Maintain current partner contact and shipping information in Salesforce.
Track and record meals added to each container.
Support invoice processing, vendor communication, and expense tracking.
Ensure all documentation is accurately recorded in Salesforce for logistical tracking and audit compliance.
Maintain audit readiness by keeping all files current and complete in Salesforce and GIK tracking systems.
35% Administration and Logistics
Inventory all GIK products upon arrival and record data in Salesforce and/or tracking documents.
Maintain accurate warehouse records, labeling, and palletizing; verify all documentation matches physical goods.
Track and inventory GIK items loaded onto containers, confirming accuracy against manifests.
Monitor expiring inventory and ensure proper stock rotation.
Communicate with freight partners and warehouse staff to coordinate container pickups and deliveries.
Liaise with impact partners to confirm receipt, collect photos, and gather impact stories.
Track shipments from dispatch to delivery, ensuring all assigned data is accurately entered in Salesforce.
Provide timely updates to the Senior GIK Manager and internal teams on shipment status, delays, or discrepancies.
Support emergency response shipments or special logistics projects as needed.
15% General Support, Internal Coordination and Flexibility
Provide daily administrative and logistics support to the Senior GIK Manager.
Collaborate with program managers to identify needs and in‑kind opportunities for Impact Partners.
Participate in team meetings and assist with reporting and shipment analysis.
Flexibility to work outside regular hours, including evenings or weekends, as required.
Perform additional duties as needed to ensure program success.
