Topa Group is partnered with a growing, small-business Fire Protection Integrator based in
Atlanta . We are seeking a motivated
Fire Sprinkler Designer
to join our fun and collaborative work environment. This role involves designing new construction and retrofit fire sprinkler systems for commercial and industrial projects across the greater Atlanta area. We value expertise in design software and offer flexible hybrid work options.
Key Responsibilities
Design and layout fire sprinkler systems using specialized CAD software (HydraCAD, AutoSprink, or Revit).
Perform hydraulic calculations and prepare submittal packages for review by clients, engineers, and local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) in Georgia.
Coordinate system design with other trades (architects, mechanical, structural) to resolve conflicts and ensure code compliance.
Create detailed stock lists, material takeoffs, and installation drawings for field teams.
Conduct occasional site surveys and field verifications as needed.
Ensure all designs meet applicable codes and standards, including NFPA 13 and local Atlanta regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
A few years’ experience in fire sprinkler design.
Proficiency in at least one fire protection design software platform (HydraCAD, AutoSprink, or Revit).
Strong understanding of NFPA 13, 14, and 20 standards.
NICET certification in Fire Sprinkler System Layout is highly preferred, but not required.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with office and field personnel.
Hybrid Schedule Available: We offer a hybrid work option, requiring in-office presence 4 days a week to foster collaboration and mentorship.
