Job Title: Junior Relationship Manager – Small Business Lending
Location: Marlton, NJ (Hybrid Opportunity)
Compensation: $60,000 + Uncapped Commission
Position Overview We are seeking a Junior Relationship Manager – Small Business Lending to support the growth of a national small business lending platform. This is a junior‑level, outbound sales role focused on prospecting and developing new partner relationships, which are then transitioned to Senior Business Development Managers. The ideal candidate has early sales experience, a strong interest in financial services, and comfort prospecting small business partners.
This role offers a competitive base salary plus uncapped commission, structured training, and a hybrid onsite schedule after the initial onboarding period.
Position Responsibilities
Prospect and qualify new partner relationships for equipment finance and working capital products
Identify and engage small business partners and equipment sellers nationwide
Move prospects through the sales funnel from suspect to prospect to customer to partner
Communicate value‑add benefits of financing solutions to prospective partners
Own the onboarding process for new partners, including education and training on financing products
Serve as the primary point of contact for applications, inquiries, and deal coordination
Manage application‑to‑fund workflow and elevate issues as needed
Maintain active partner relationships to drive retention, expansion, and referrals
Collaborate cross‑functionally with credit, underwriting, sales leadership, and funding teams
Track, manage, and report on sales activity, pipeline, and new partner development
Maintain a working understanding of credit guidelines, approval processes, and funding criteria
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong outbound sales aptitude and willingness to prospect
Understanding of small business operations and financing needs
Relationship‑building and consultative sales approach
Ability to clearly explain financial products and processes
Comfortable handling rejection and maintaining persistence
Highly organized with strong time‑management skills
Detail‑oriented with a sense of urgency and accountability
Collaborative, team‑focused mindset
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Education & Qualifications
1+ years of sales experience required
Financial services background strongly preferred (equipment finance, working capital, lending, banking, or related)
Experience selling to small businesses is a strong plus
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Ability to travel domestically if required
