About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate
Legal Intake Assistant
to join our growing
Personal Injury
practice. As the first point of contact for injured clients, you will play a vital role in the success of the firm by conducting initial case screenings, gathering critical information, and providing reassurance to individuals during challenging moments in their lives.
This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and empathy. You will work closely with attorneys and the legal team to ensure a seamless transition from initial intake to case evaluation and acceptance.
Responsibilities Answer, screen, and route incoming calls using a multi-line phone system
Conduct detailed
personal injury intake interviews
via phone, email, and in-person meetings
Gather and document essential case details (accidents, injuries, insurance, treatment, etc.)
Assess and qualify potential personal injury claims for attorney review
Provide empathetic and professional support to clients experiencing physical pain or emotional distress
Accurately enter client information into case management and CRM systems
Perform administrative and intake-related support tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service mindset with professional phone etiquette
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Prior experience in customer service, call center, intake, or administrative roles
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Prior experience in a
personal injury law firm
or legal intake role
Familiarity with personal injury terminology and procedures
Experience with CRM or legal case management software
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
highly preferred
