
Sales Account Executive (Laboratory Testing Services) – Eurofins Built Environme

Job Description
Eurofins Environment Testing is seeking a Sales Account Executive for a client-facing, outside sales role in the Northeast region. This position focuses on identifying and managing client accounts and business opportunities for Eurofins Built Environment Testing, which provides Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) testing (e.g., mold, asbestos, Legionella).
Location: Northeast region. The Account Executive will travel within the region to meet with clients. The role requires comfort with cold calling, taking initiative to bring in new business, and cultivating existing relationships. Knowledge of environmental laboratory testing is preferred, especially IAQ testing, USP797 testing, or Legionella testing.
The position is full-time and offers compensation of USD 70,000 per year plus commissions, with benefits.
Responsibilities
Maximize market share, profitability, competitive advantage and capacity utilization in the environmental analytical services market.
Establish and maintain productive relationships with Eurofins clients.
Provide vision and acquire new accounts to sustain growth by representing Eurofins and communicating services to new customers and markets.
Identify opportunities and profitable work by following up on leads, negotiating, and closing.
Serve as a customer advocate, communicating customer needs to internal teams (management, operations, technical staff, quoters, project managers) and coordinating with a strong internal team.
Account Executive responsibilities
Meet individual revenue goals and regional targets.
Establish and maintain productive relationships between the client and the laboratory.
Increase awareness of Eurofins Environment Testing capabilities and services to improve selling opportunities.
Provide sales forecasts for the assigned region.
Review credit status of new and existing customers prior to bids or proposals.
Monitor accounts receivable and resolve collection issues as required.
Develop and recommend pricing strategies, bid/no-bid decisions, and Master Service Agreements.
Develop client profiles and determine potential funding for work.
Develop, qualify, track, and close leads to increase revenue.
Report sales activity within the assigned area and maintain customer databases.
Maintain relationships between customers and the Eurofins Environment Testing organization.
Develop and implement account plans with revenue goals and objectives to attain regional quotas.
Identify key target markets and major accounts to attain market position and profitability.
Coordinate, negotiate, and complete Master Service Agreements with customers, defining needs and streamlining processes.
Collect and document information to establish pricing and assess Eurofins’ ability to meet customer requirements.
Communicate customer needs to internal stakeholders to facilitate successful project completion.
Provide summaries of sales development activities and follow up on bids, quotes, proposals, and pricing inquiries.
Negotiate pricing and contractual issues within area of responsibility with GM approval.
Present Environment Testing as a network of laboratories to improve operational efficiencies.
Control expenses related to the selling function according to policy.
Support National Accounts as needed and provide market feedback to inform new products and services.
Maintain relationships with Eurofins facilities to ensure customer requirements are met.
Provide information on opportunities, win/loss ratios and future pricing strategies.
Forecast for Customer Service Managers to assist planning; assist with sales materials and competitive intelligence.
Identify opportunities for new products/services within the assigned region.
Qualifications Basic Minimum Qualifications:
Degree in Sciences or related field preferred but not required
Minimum 2-3 years of progressively successful sales experience in a service industry
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory; some overnight travel may be required
Environmental industry knowledge
Valid driver’s license
The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:
Sales skills including prospecting, interviewing, negotiating, and closing
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Sales acumen and analytical skills
Lab experience and familiarity with environmental industry terminology
Ability to work in an unstructured environment and proactively plan
Additional Information

Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
This position is full-time, Monday through Friday. Candidates in the Northeastern U.S. are encouraged to apply.
Salary Range: USD 70,000 base with commissions, plus benefits, PTO, and 401(k) with company match.
