
We are partnering with a higher education organization seeking a Manager of Events and Exhibitions. The Manager of Events and Exhibitions will be responsible for researching, planning, organizing, publicizing, and managing the execution and follow-up for public events and exhibition openings. Collaborate on future event programming by developing event proposals and conducting research on relevant topics and potential program participants; supports faculty and students who are leading conferences or symposia; and creates strategies to increase public awareness of programming as well as student participation.
Responsibilities
Oversee and administer internal and public events including lectures, conferences, symposia, open houses, and exhibitions
Prepare research and proposals as well as all event planning and administration including securing locations, technical support, and catering; speaker support including invitations, travel arrangements, accommodations, and payments; oversight of relevant vendors; promotion and production of events (posters, programs, etc.); on-site or online event supervision (such as facilities set up); and follow-up as needed.
Manage all event-related correspondence and inquiries.
Generate communication strategy and manages production and dissemination of print or digital materials, manages mailings lists, updates calendars, collaborates with designers to produce relevant assets, and develops tools and strategies to engage the student body.
Collaborates to design future events and prepares research and background materials on relevant topics and potential guests.
Maintain events budget and financial management reporting, monitors expenses.
Perform other related duties, assignments, and/or special projects as assigned.
