We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Account Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, utilization strategies, and customer retention through building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and identifying new business opportunities within the Head Start industry. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 in‑office days per week.
What you’ll do:
Revenue accountability: Responsible for maintaining and driving revenue growth with new and existing customers through strategic planning and execution
Identify upsell opportunities: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand business with existing customers through upselling ChildPlus products and solutions
Customer retention: Actively work to retain customers and foster ongoing engagement
Contract negotiation: Negotiate and secure multi‑year contract terms with agency leadership that are favorable for both customers and ChildPlus, ensuring mutual benefits and revenue retention
Objection handling: Effectively handle and resolve customer objections to close deals successfully
Sales process accountability: Drive and take full accountability for the sales process, from initial contact to closing deals
Build and nurture client relationships: Develop and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with customers to ensure loyalty and trust
Account planning: Organize, plan, and execute account reviews with existing clients
Professionalism and leadership: Demonstrate high standards of professionalism and leadership to inspire confidence and respect
Client satisfaction assessment: Regularly evaluate client satisfaction to ensure top‑level service and support
Consultative approach: Employ a consultative approach to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions
Industry knowledge: Possess in‑depth knowledge of the Head Start industry to effectively address client requirements

Strong communication: Build and execute in‑person and virtual presentations to all levels within an organization. Manage the RFP process and response for new and existing customers within portfolio
Our ideal candidate will have:
3–5 years’ successfully selling SaaS solutions
Proven experience in SaaS sales; Head Start or early childhood education experience a plus
Strong consultative selling abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong presentation skills with the ability to influence prospect’s decision through story‑based sales
Ability to build rapport and trust with people quickly
Strong negotiation and closing skills
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to craft tailored proposals and strategies
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
Head Start or early childhood education experience a plus
Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools
Strong sales acumen with technical/SAAS solution providers
Strong understanding of cloud‑based software solutions
Ability to travel (quarterly travel required)
