Location : Open to candidates based in LATAM countries Type of Position We are seeking a highly skilled Shopify Theme Developer to join our team. In this role, you will enhance and optimize our Shopify theme features, ensuring seamless performance and providing tailored solutions for clients. You will use your expertise in frontend technologies to develop responsive designs that meet industry best practices for accessibility, SEO, and maintainability. Key Responsibilities Develop custom Shopify theme features using HTML, Tailwind CSS, TypeScript, and React. Enhance core Shopify theme features with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability. Convert Figma designs into fully functional, responsive Shopify themes. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues on the Shopify platform. QA all changes and ensure adherence to high standards for site performance, accessibility, and SEO. Implement and integrate third-party apps and extensions into Shopify themes. Stay updated with the latest Shopify platform advancements and best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications Frontend Development Advanced knowledge of responsive design using Tailwind CSS. Proficiency in translating static designs into interactive interfaces with strong attention to details. HTML & CSS Mastery in writing semantic, well-structured HTML. In-depth knowledge of accessibility, SEO, and HTML element functionality. Extensive experience with Tailwind CSS for custom utilities and theming. Shopify Theme Development Proficient in Liquid template language and Shopify core data models. Advanced knowledge of metafields, metaobjects, and Shopify Search & Discovery app. Familiarity with Shopify CLI and Admin API is a plus. Additional Skills Experience with Prettier, ESLint, and Git. Experience working with Pull Requests / Code Reviews workflows. Familiarity with state management tools like Zustand is a plus. Experience working with tools such as Asana, Jira, Confluence, Figma, etc. Good communication and writing skills to communicate and document deliverables on tasks to PM, QAs and clients. Requirements 8+ years of front-end development experience. 2+ years of experience in Shopify theme development and Tailwind CSS. 4+ years of experience with TypeScript, and 2+ years with React/AlpineJS. Proven ability to design, optimize, and implement user-centric web solutions. Professional fluency in English with strong communication skills. Undergraduate degree preferred; relevant certifications are a plus. Experience working remotely, effectively managing and meeting deadlines. Access to reliable internet connection and needed hardware (microfone and webcam for meetings). Access to a dedicated working space at home, to be able to participate and interact with the team at meetings without interruptions or background noise. Working hours are flexible but the expectation is to stick to a fixed timeline once aligned, ideally overlapping mostly with EST, to facilitate team sync and communications. This is not a freelancer position. Time Off Policy Up to10 business days of PTO in any 60‑day period; anything more requires executive approval. Minimum two weeks’ noticefor planned time off.
