Role Summary
Associate Director, Global Commercial Learning & Development (GCL+D) is a senior individual contributor role with high visibility and impact across Gilead affiliates worldwide, driving conceptual development and leading cross-functional projects. Located in Foster City, CA (hybrid). Responsibilities
Act as strategic business partner to commercial functions, translating global business needs into impactful learning solutions as conceptual Therapeutic Area lead within the GCL+D team. Work cross-functionally with the GCLD Operations team and instructional designers to design and implement disease and product training programs for sales, marketing, and cross-functional teams in Gilead affiliates. Drive the integration of digital, AI and Learning Metrics tools into our commercial capabilities. Collaborate closely with global CL&D teams to align and localize global initiatives. Coordinate training materials with tactical campaigns, launch readiness, and continuous development programs. Manage external training partners, vendors, and contractors to ensure high-quality delivery. Represent GCL+D in cross-functional and global projects and contribute to commercial excellence. Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's Degree and Ten Years’ Experience; OR Master’s Degree and Eight Years’ Experience; OR PhD and Two Years’ Experience Preferred: Experience working in a global marketplace with affiliates and stakeholders across multiple countries and regions; extensive pharma/biotech experience in commercial training or education; strong knowledge of the global healthcare landscape; ability to manage complex workloads and multiple projects; effective delegation and leadership of teams and external partners; ability to manage multiple time zones and adapt to diverse cultural contexts; strong conceptual and strategic thinking with hands-on execution; exceptional virtual and written communication skills; ability to lead in a matrix environment and drive operational excellence.
