Job Purpose
The Director of Sales, Limited-Service Restaurants (LSR) is a quota-carrying, growth-driving leader who opens new doors across Fast Casual, Coffee Cafés, and select QSR chains. This role is responsible for designing pilots that convert, scaling multi-region rollouts, and building a repeatable playbook that accelerates Pressed’s expansion across the LSR landscape. This position begins as a Hunter role (90/10)—focused heavily on prospecting, pitching, piloting, and closing. As the book of business grows, it will transition toward 70/30 Hunter/Farmer, with increasing ownership of strategic account development, franchise adoption, and chain-level opportunities. Essential Job Functions
Own the LSR growth plan and quota across Fast Casual, Coffee, and targeted QSR chains; deliver multimillion-dollar new revenue. Bring insight-driven recommendations that challenge customer assumptions and elevate decision quality. Protect deal economics within guardrails, partner with Finance. Demonstrate disciplined follow-through, clarity in communication, and a proactive approach to removing barriers. Account Development & Partnerships
Prospect, pitch, and close national and large regional chains; navigate category management, procurement, culinary, and franchise decision paths. Build relationships at the Director/VP level, adjusting communication style by account maturity and decision structure. Represent Pressed with preparation and polish at key meetings, industry events, and operator showcases. Establish trust quickly by using data, market insight, and a clear commercial POV to guide the customer toward better outcomes. Ensure handoffs between chain decision makers and franchise operators are clear, structured, and scalable. Pilot Design & Rollout Execution
Design and run 8–12-week pilots with structure and rigor: KPIs, velocity thresholds, waste targets, planograms, sampling calendars, success criteria, and post-mortems. Proactively identify operational risks and bring clear, executable solutions to ensure pilots convert to expansion. Scale wins from brand approvals to multi-region rollout and franchisee adoption; coordinate training, merchandising, POS, launch kits, and compliance. Distribution & Operational Readiness
Activate distribution lanes across broadline and cold-capable DSD partners. Partner cross-functionally to ensure launch feasibility. Resolve issues quickly and decisively, bringing forward informed solutions. Strengthen operational reliability by aligning chain requirements with distributor capabilities. Forecasting, CRM Discipline & Internal Collaboration
Forecast accuracy; use pilot performance, promotions, chain orders and distributor trends. Uphold CRM discipline and stage hygiene. Partner with Marketing on co-marketing, LTOs, and storytelling that drives velocity. Provide proactive performance updates to the Pressed FSOP team. Model structured communication, clarity, and accountability in all internal touchpoints. Qualifications
8+ years in food & beverage sales; 5+ years hunting and closing LSR chain accounts. Proven relationships with decision-makers at better-for-you Fast Casual and Coffee chains; credible executive presence. At least two multi-region or national wins scaled in the last 3–5 years. Fluency in FSOP mechanics: franchise systems, FSMCs, GPOs, rebates/MCBs, planograms, promotional cycles, and distributor operations. Data-driven seller who sets velocity targets, monitors waste, reads P&Ls, and protects margin. Solution-oriented, proactive problem solver with strong follow-through and readiness. CRM discipline (Salesforce or similar); excellent communication and storytelling skills. Existing network with broadline distributors and cold-capable DSD partners. Ability to travel as needed. Legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction. The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate brings a strong track record of success in the LSR segment, moves quickly with clarity, and operates with an owner’s mentality. They challenge assumptions constructively, communicate with precision, and bring a solution-oriented point of view to every interaction. They thrive in build-mode, excel in high-growth environments, and know how to win in Foodservice by combining proactive problem-solving, data-driven insight, and consistent accountability. This is a quota-carrying, builder role tasked with opening doors at national and large regional brands, designing pilots that convert, and scaling multiregional rollouts in partnership with distribution and operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with senior relationships in better for you Fast Casual and Coffee segments and a track record of multimillion dollar wins. Success in this role means
Winning new national and large regional chain accounts. Turning pilots into profitable, scalable rollouts. Ensuring distribution and operational readiness. Growing revenue through disciplined execution and strong partner alignment. Modeling “how” work gets done — proactive solutioning, structured follow-through, clarity, preparedness, responsible urgency, and a confident, insight-driven point of view.
