This position will report to the Corporate Communications Manager in Wooster, Ohio.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Content & Digital Communications Specialist is responsible for developing, scheduling, and publishing content that supports Seaman Corporation's internal and external communication strategies. This role collaborates closely with the Corporate Communications Manager to deliver brand-aligned messaging across multiple channels, including digital platforms, social media, and internal communication tools. The specialist ensures consistency in tone, style, and messaging to strengthen associate engagement and enhance the company's reputation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Create and publish content (written, visual, and multimedia) for internal and external audiences on corporate channels, including articles, social media posts, newsletters, and website updates. Manage content calendars to ensure timely and consistent delivery of messaging across channels. Support corporate storytelling initiatives, showcasing company culture, growth, innovation, and community impact. Oversee company intranet, website, and corporate social media accounts, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and brand standards. Capture and edit photos and videos for communications and social platforms. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information and translate complex topics into clear, compelling content. Maintain brand consistency across all communication materials and channels. Monitor engagement metrics, analyze performance, and provide insights to optimize content effectiveness. Assist with corporate event and program coverage, including live updates, photography, and post-event summaries. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, or related field. 2-4 years of experience in content creation, digital communications, or social media management. Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to detail. Ability to create and adapt content for multiple platforms (web, social media, intranet, email). Strong understanding of digital communication best practices and emerging trends. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with content management systems (CMS). Experience managing social media platforms and scheduling tools. Basic photography and video production/editing skills; knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus. Ability to analyze engagement metrics and apply insights to improve content performance. Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with SEO principles and web analytics. Familiarity with internal communication platforms and employee engagement strategies. Understanding of brand management and corporate identity standards Experience with content scheduling tools (e.g., HubSpot, Hootsuite). Familiarity with intranet platforms and basic web content management systems. Knowledge of analytics tools for measuring engagement and performance.
