Job Summary
We are looking for individuals to join our client's team as Sr. Internal Communications Specialist. Under the guidance of the Internal Communications Manager, the Internal Communications Senior Specialist plans, writes, edits, and produces internal communications content. The IC Senior Specialist collaborates with departments across the agency to develop clear, accurate, and consistent messaging that supports organizational priorities. The position is also responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the agency's intranet. Responsibilities are diverse and engaging, including, but not limited to:
Job Description
Develop, write, edit, and deliver internal communications across multiple formats and channels, including email, intranet, in-person presentations, digital signage, and print materials. Maintain the agency's intranet, including creating content and sites, updating pages, and overseeing a network of departmental content managers. Manage the agency's intranet content calendar to ensure messages are strategically timed, accurate, and aligned with organizational priorities. Review, edit, and ensure quality and consistency of intranet content submitted by department contributors, applying agency style, tone, brand, and accessibility standards. Create, update, and maintain digital signage content. Plan, coordinate, and/or support internal events and initiatives, including all-hands meetings, employee recognition, and engagement events. Take and edit photos for publishing on the agency intranet. Support video projects, including storyboarding, filming, and post-editing. Skills Required
5 years of professional experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or related field. 2 years of project management experience Knowledge Requirements:
Familiarity with website management, including designing new pages and updating existing content. Experience communicating with remote-work employees. Photography and/or video production experience. Strong writing, editing, and copy-editing skills, including AP-style proficiency. Ability to leverage multiple communication channels to engage target audiences. Incorporating equity, diversity, and inclusion into communication practices. Excellent time management, project management, and multitasking skills. Proficiency in Microsoft O365. Fostering an inclusive workplace by valuing and leveraging diversity, equity, and inclusion. Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills. Attention to detail. Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
Graphic design techniques Fluency in another language other than English Transit industry experience Education/Certification/Training
An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job duties is also accepted. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English, marketing, or related field. Additional Requirements
Must be able to pass criminal background check Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day. Position is not fully remote; employee must commute to the Everett, WA office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with occasional additional onsite days for events or meetings. Flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week. Pay Rate
Starting at $25.00 per hour and more depending on experience
