We are seeking an

Internal Communications Specialist

for a

six-month assignment

to support internal messaging at our public transit agency located on site in Everett Washington. This role will focus on delivering clear, timely, and engaging communications that keep employees informed, aligned, and connected to our mission of

travel made easy for all .

The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator who can quickly build trust, manage multiple messages, and reflect our core values of accountability, integrity, service, teamwork, and inclusion in every communication.

The Internal Communications Senior Specialist plans, writes, edits, and produces internal communications content. The IC Sr. Specialist collaborates with departments across the agency to develop clear, accurate, and consistent messaging that supports organizational priorities. The position is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the agency's intranet. Responsibilities will be diverse and engaging, including, but not limited to:

Develop, write, edit, and deliver internal communications across multiple formats and channels, including email, intranet, in-person presentations, digital signage, and print materials. Maintain the agency's intranet, including creating content and sites, updating pages, and overseeing a network of departmental content managers. Manage the agency's intranet content calendar, ensuring messages are strategically timed, accurate, and aligned with organizational priorities. Review, edit, and ensure quality and consistency of intranet content submitted by department contributors, applying agency style, tone, brand, and accessibility standards. Create, update, and maintain digital signage content. Plan, coordinate, and/or support internal events and initiatives, including monthly all-hands meetings, Topics @ 12, employee appreciation and recognition events. Take and edit photos for publishing on the agency intranet. Support video projects, including storyboarding, filming, post-editing. Minimum Qualifications

5 years of professional experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or related field. 2 years of project management experience An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job duties is also accepted.

Knowledge Requirements

Familiarity working on websites, including designing new pages and creating content • Experience communicating with remote-work employees • Experience with photography or video production • Engaging writing techniques for internal audiences

Incorporating equity and inclusion into communication practices • Ability to leverage various communication channels and tools to engage with target audiences • Knowledge of Associated Press writing style • Leveraging various communication channels and tools to engage with target audiences

Preferred Skills and Knowledge • Graphic design techniques • Fluency in another language other than English • Transit industry experience

Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English, marketing, or related field.
