
Sr. Internal Communications Specialist
Duration:- 3+ Months
Location:- 2312 W. Casino Road, Everett, WA 98204 US
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day
Position is not open to fully remote work - Employee must be able to commute to our office in Everett, WA every Tuesday, Wednesday, and may occasionally require additional onsite days to help with company events, meetings, etc. There is flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.
Brief Job Description:
Under the guidance of the Internal Communications Manager, the Sr. IC Specialist plans, writes, edits, and produces internal communications content. The position is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the agency's intranet. Responsibilities will be diverse and engaging, including, but not limited to:
Develop, write, edit, and deliver internal communications across multiple formats and channels. Maintain the agency's intranet, including creating content and sites, updating pages, and overseeing a network of departmental content managers. Manage the agency's intranet content calendar. Review, edit, and ensure quality and consistency of intranet content submitted by department contributors. Create, update, and maintain digital signage content. Plan, coordinate, and/or support internal events and initiatives. Take and edit photos for publishing on the agency intranet. Support video projects, including storyboarding, filming, post-editing.
Qualifications and experience desired: • Experience with Internal Communications • Experience working on websites, including page creation and support in redesigning existing content • Strong copy-editing skills • Journalism or business writing experience • Project organization skills • Experience with MS O365 • Proficient in AP-style writing

The Internal Communications Senior Specialist plans, writes, edits, and produces internal communications content. The IC Sr. Specialist collaborates with departments across the agency to develop clear, accurate, and consistent messaging that supports organizational priorities. The position is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the agency's intranet. Responsibilities will be diverse and engaging, including, but not limited to:
Develop, write, edit, and deliver internal communications across multiple formats and channels, including email, intranet, in-person presentations, digital signage, and print materials. Maintain the agency's intranet, including creating content and sites, updating pages, and overseeing a network of departmental content managers. Manage the agency's intranet content calendar, ensuring messages are strategically timed, accurate, and aligned with organizational priorities. Review, edit, and ensure quality and consistency of intranet content submitted by department contributors, applying agency style, tone, brand, and accessibility standards. Create, update, and maintain digital signage content. Plan, coordinate, and/or support internal events and initiatives, including monthly all-hands meetings, Topics @ 12, employee appreciation and recognition events. Take and edit photos for publishing on the agency intranet. Support video projects, including storyboarding, filming, post-editing. Minimum Qualifications
5 years of professional experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or related field. 2 years of project management experience n equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job duties is also accepted.
